The Holistic
Integrative Care Center (HICC) levelled up its promotional efforts when it announced
its Brand Ambassadors at the newly opened Cave Restaurant in Quezon City last
January 26. Makati-based HICC specializes
in treating chronic degenerative diseases by combining conventional and
alternative approaches to provide the best treatment possible, according to medical
director Dra. Imelda Edodollon, RMT, MD, NMD. She explained that their method promotes
natural healing through proper diet and conducts different types of therapy to
put the body in a self-healing mode.
Singer–actor Ronnie
Liang, a certified health buff, was chosen as the center’s Holistic Advocate
because he embodies HICC’s mission of fostering disease prevention through lifestyle
modification, HICC spokesman Jasper Tan-Maguigad said. Meantime, veteran broadcaster Miguel Gil was named
as HICC’s Prolozone Ambassador. Prolozone Therapy is billed as a revolutionary
procedure to repair damaged joints and ligaments, and relieve the accompanying
pain, without surgery.
OPM’s “Prince of
Ballad” Liang, whose biggest claim to fame is his hit song “Ngiti,” was
personally hand-picked by Dra Edodollon and Holistic Chef Arlene Clemente -- saying
he is “a walking encyclopedia on nutrition,” Tan-Maguigad added.
Ronnie emphasized the
importance of exercise, diet and getting enough rest. His diet consists of
vegetables, fish and chicken minus the skin. He says he has given up fatty foods such as
pork and beef, and he refrains from eating rice. Also, he steers clear of smoking and drinking.
And he says he never stays late at night—which is no easy feat for any rising
star!
